Customization
Puritan manufactures the broadest line of tipped applicators available. Our products range from those for basic patient care to rapid diagnostics, from industrial operations to critical environments. If a search of our catalogued items doesn't yield the single-use product you're looking for, please bring details of your optimum design to our attention. Many products we manufacture are not found in our catalog - it may be we have the one for your special application. If not, we'd like to talk with you about developing your custom device. From well-known standards to state-of-the-art devices
Tip materials utilized in our products include absorbent spun fibers, cotton, calcium alginate, rayon, or polyester foam in a range of absorbencies and properties, fabric (favored for lint-sensitive applications) and nylon flock. Handles can be wood (northern white birch), paper, polystyrene, polypropylene, nylon or wire. Adhesives and other components and manufacturing techniques used in the manufacture of tipped applicators also bring choice of selection to achieve the design that performs as intended.
With these options to choose from, and new ones being developed to address the emergence of new technologies, the range of products that can be produced is very broad. R&D engineers on Puritan's team, and onsite, continually refine and improve all manufacturing systems. They work hand in hand with our Quality Assurance personnel to assure the highest level of quality possible is built into each device. From this solid base, new designs move from the drawing board to production and into the hands of practitioners and clinicians across the country and around the world.
