This year’s meeting, held at the Westin Park Central in Dallas, promises to be both exciting and educational. With nationally recognized speakers and presenters within the SWACM association, symposia will cover a range of topics including: Anatomy of a Fungal Meningitis Outbreak; Clinically Relevant Wound Culture Work Up; and the somewhat cryptically named, Blood Culture Potpourri. SWACM was formed with the goal of providing ongoing education in the field of clinical microbiology. As such, SWACM is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E.® Program. SWACM programs are approved for California-licensed clinical laboratory scientist’s personnel.
