We're heading to the Windy City this October 10 to attend the AHRMM Fall Educational Meeting & Vendor Fair. Hosted by the Chicago Metro Chapter of the Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management, the Educational Meeting and Vendor Fair is a fun and informative way for healthcare professionals to celebrate National Healthcare Supply Chain Week (also sponsored by AHRMM).
The AHRMM is a nationally recognized organization whose mission is to help advance healthcare by supporting supply chain professionals with education, leadership training and advocacy. The Chicago Metro Chapter is one of the association's largest groups.
2013 AHRMM Fall Educational Meeting
Attendees at the 2013 Fall Meeting can look forward to connecting with industry experts and learning about new methods for managing healthcare supply chain data. There will also be discussion from the Advisory Board regarding healthcare reform and looking at the current challenges that hospitals and health systems face in 2013. For those eligible, Continuing Education Units (CEU's) will be provided.
We're looking forward to learning about recent supply chain advancements and exhibiting our diagnostic swabs (like our HydraFlock® and PurFlock Ultra® flocked swabs) and our viral and bacterial media transport systems.
Managing Supply Chain with U.S. Vendors
We believe our attendance is especially relevant as flu season approaches. Last year many hospitals experienced backorders of our competitor's products as they are manufactured overseas and were tied up at a port.
This shortage highlights the importance of sourcing medical products from U.S.-based companies and distributors. As North America's largest and most trusted manufacturer of single-use medical products, we're excited at the opportunity to share our product with national materials managers looking to avoid the supply issues they may have encountered in the past.
