Puritan’s Policies for Selling on Amazon:

Puritan Medical Products Company is approved into Amazon’s Brand Registry program and owns the right to all Puritan product listings on Amazon.com. Our goal is to have all our products accurately represented and priced on Amazon regardless of who the seller is. We are improving our listings to include accurate titles, brand names, images, descriptions, product details, and manufacturer part numbers. As we submit our updates, Amazon will make these changes systematically and will remove or merge any existing, inaccurate, or duplicate listings.

Based on feedback from our partners and an extensive review of the marketplace, Puritan is now providing a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for all products. These prices are intended to serve as a guideline and help our partners understand a competitive retail price for an end user purchasing a single unit of an item. MSRP has been provided at the full-case level and may be used as the basis for calculating inner-pack or individual-unit pricing. We encourage all partners to use this guidance to help maintain consistent and competitive customer experience across sales channels.

This impacts you in two ways:

1. Amazon Merchant Accounts: Authorized Puritan distributors will still be able to sell as an Amazon 3rd party seller if they opt to do so. Any new product offerings will be created by Puritan and should not be activated on Amazon by your organization. Puritan will set up the new product listings to ensure accuracy with images and product descriptions.

2. Amazon Vendor Accounts: Approved Puritan distributors are not authorized to sell directly to Amazon, as this will potentially cause price erosion due to the likelihood of Amazon dropping the price on their listing. It is for this reason that all distributors kindly abide by this request.

 In addition, we ask for the following to be complied with:

• Distributors may not create new ASINs based upon a variation of product quantity or product combinations.

• Distributors selling on Amazon must have their own website with clear pricing. Amazon-only selling is not allowed.

• Distributors must clearly state their identity, including phone numbers on Amazon’s site, so customers may contact them regarding their purchase.

• We realize that some distributors sell under different names on Amazon. If your organization is selling on Amazon as a DBA, please inform Puritan. We are actively removing unauthorized sellers to ensure the quality of customers’ experience on Amazon.

• Distributors should contact Puritan directly if there is a product that they don’t see on Amazon.  If appropriate, Puritan will set up the product listing and provide the ASIN.

• If you are a distributor that is selling on Amazon and received any notifications of our products being restricted or removed, please contact us with the details.  While we cannot always fix the issues, we will reach out to Amazon directly to try and keep the listings live.

• Performance:  We expect any seller offering Puritan’s product to meet or exceed all Amazon shipping and customer service metrics.  Sellers that are identified as providing poor performance or negatively representing the Puritan brands will be removed. 

Puritan has no intentions to sell directly to Amazon and asks all partners to honor this request. Puritan’s branded presence on Amazon allows us to provide better quality and more accurate product information, which raises the overall presence of the brand and helps all channel sales.
