The PurSafe Plus® Collection and Transport System is engineered for the efficient collection, inactivation, and preservation of upper respiratory tract specimens suspected of containing SARS-CoV-2. (Additional indications to follow).
- Validated on the FDA-cleared Cepheid GeneXpert IV System, PurSafe Plus® delivers consistent performance for both point-of-care (POC) and high-throughput laboratory workflows, ensuring flexibility across clinical and diagnostic settings.
- MK Preservative Buffer: Specially formulated to stabilize and protect RNA at both room and refrigerated temperatures. Maintains specimen integrity for up to 28 days.
- Direct-Use Convenience: Requires no pretreatment or RNA isolation—samples can be used directly in the Cepheid GeneXpert IV System. Simplifies workflows and reduces hands-on processing time.
- Kit includes: 1ml MK buffer and ultrafine HydraFlock® swab with 80mm breakpoint (SKU: 25-3320-H SC 80MM) suitable for nasopharyngeal and NP collection.
